June 17, 2009 : Ilona will play for Spartak in 2009/10

Ilona Korstin: «I have signed the contract to Spartak Moscow for a period of one year. Initially I planned to remain in CSKA, but after some conversations with the management, I have decided to consider other offers. I am very glad to sign to such a strong team which has won three times the Euroleague, and I hope to be of use for the new collective» - quotes the sportswoman of radio Sports (Russia).

Mutual relations of Ilona with CSKA club (till 2007 - VBM-SGAU Samara) have started to develop in 2003. Then Ilona has passed in a young ambitious Volga team from the French club of Bourges.

Possibly, at that point in time she did not know for certain that she should take direct part in launch and blossoming of one of the strongest basketball clubs of Europe. Becoming one of leaders not only of VBM-SGAU (CSKA), but also of the Russian national team, reaching the responsible rank of 'captain', she conducted the teams to great perfs.

And these tops have not kept itself waiting. In 2004 ,Ilona has brought three deserved titles at club level (champion of Russia, cup of Russia, World league) and one at level of national teams (the bronze at the Olympic Games). And further... There were so much victorious titles further that transfer all of them is capable to tyre even the most tempted reader!!!

It is possible to tell definitely that six-year union Ilony Korstin and club VBM-SGAU (CSKA) has gone right wonderfully well. However, all sometime comes to an end. Before each of us, there are new purposes and goals. Today Ilona has passed in other club, but one was and remains invariable: its insuperable aspiration to a victory which in a combination to high ambitions of a command always yield fine result.
