Good to know that our team - the best in Europe.
Although it is still early in the season, after so many problems
and unfortunate events, many doubted that our SPARTA&K
will be able to cope with all the troubles, few people believed
on us...
But we have passed this competition undefeated and had a brilliant
semi-final and final matches. SPARTA&K
for the fourth time he became the champion of the most prestigious
competitions in Europe, and it certainly deserves respect!
In Spain, we arrived for a week. First four days spent in the
capital: little training, held a friendly match with the team
in Madrid, with a great pleasure to wander the city, but also
- as we are girlsafter all ;)- we made a great shopping, staging
a raid on the many shops. Honestly, the first time I encountered
such a preparation for responsible matches. Usually the team
to the maximum focus before the crucial games, but here was the
opposite: a minimum training and maximum rest!!!!
And as experience shows that such tactics training pays off!
Players are not under the biggest pressure, and body accumulates
the freshness and strength. In Valencia, we arrived one day
before the semifinal game. Against UMMC we played many times and
most recently won a big victory and their arena, which allowed
us to get ahead of the team from Yekaterinburg in the standings
and win the regular championship. Therefore, in terms of preparation,
we were fairly easy, I had just worked on those moments in which
we have made mistakes in previous games, as well as to prepare
a few surprises and new moves... Match for getting to the final
was very tense, Diana Taurasi has issued a truly phenomenal
game, it grind down fantastic shots! Dumerc put pressure on
Bird, and a little hamper our attack. But we are fighters this
year, I think that our team has worked well in protecting, managing
to keep the advantage in the score until the end of the game.
After the first victory, we would have jumped for joy, but I
had to restrain their emotions, because at that time we have only
half the battle. The main match of the season was ahead.
Against Valencia we have not played even once this season, so
in terms of preparation, it was not easy. We knew that the main
leaders of the team are DeSuza, Milton and Valdemoro. In the game
Amaya Valdemoro, I and the girls on the team are familiar: Amaya
played with us in CSKA.
Thus, the final match. Just imagine: a huge arena and an orange
sea of fans! Look on the battle for the championship gathered
7800 spectators, they were noisy and desperately kept his team.

I do not know how others, but I like to play a full house,
even if viewers are sick of my team or against me. This adds motivation
and fighting spirit. The game was colorful, nervous and very entertaining.

Team action, unity, perseverance moved us to the cherished
goal. Every player contributed to this victory, and we won all
together as a team!
I am very glad that we managed to win the Euroleague, to this
end, we went the entire season. This is my third championship:
the first time in 2001 with Bourges, then in 2005 with VBM and
now with SPARTA&K. Every time I experienced a variety
of emotions, and each time getting harder to take the title.
Despite all the difficulties, training, injuries, tears, nerves
- win justifies all. Believe me, the championship is worth it!
